The Independent Living Centre assists people with disabilities to enhance their independence and quality of life by providing advice and information on daily living equipment. The centre has a large range of equipment on display. Items can be demonstrated, advice is given by therapists and visitors can try out products to determine which equipment best suits their needs. Equipment is not sold by the centre but information is available about suppliers and other services.The telephone advisory service is staffed by therapists. Advice and information can be given directly over the phone or sent out to enquirers by mail, fax or e-mail. Printed information is available including suppliers, costs and details descriptions. Appointments are available with an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to trial specialised equipment. Second display is located at Blackburn for details contact (03) 9362 6111
