ACT Disability, Aged and Carer Advocacy Service

Acronym:
ADACAS

ADACAS is an information and advocacy organisation for people with disabilities, people who are ageing and the carers of these people. ADACAS provides information on services available in an accessible way for people who need assistance. Information helps to empower people. ADACAS provides education to people on their rights, which enables them to speak on their own behalf when dealing with those who provide services. Another important function is education of the wider community on the rights of people who are ageing, people with a disability, and their carers. ADACAS is able to act with and on behalf of people who are experiencing difficulties in exercising their rights and/or living valued and dignified lives in the community.
